The American V8 is the European straight-4.

Stupid as a first car in my honest opinion. If you can handle it, then fair enough, but never underestimate the danger of driving any car, let alone a 320bhp, V8 which can do 0-60 in 6 seconds.

Try telling that to this guy who then ended up in this news article.

I doubt you will actually not take note, but please don't get angry when I tell you "I told you so" after you post about your recent car crash.

Giz - I was always a regular reader of the journal on your DX and have been an avid reader of Julie's progress since the start. Nice to see such commitment, it even encouraged me to look for a 4th Gen Civic, but they seem quite "rare" now and I don't want a Rice Burner AND a Bavarian Barge

Everyone likes to give you stick for moaning to Mark & I love your friendly fued with widowmaker

Edit: Giz, in this picture, I can see a Mac Tools box beside the car. Is that just a Mac Tools box, or Mac Tools tools inside also. As I am after a decent MT tool box, about the same size as yours. Any idea where I can get one from?

My Dads mate races Brisca F2's. They are pretty much the same, except the have smaller engines. Ford Pinto engines or Vauxhall C20XE (Rep Top) IIRC.

They look like fun, I would do it, but oval racing doesn't appeal to me.

Quote from sam93 :Thanks, I will not be replying to this thread anymore, people here need to keep their comments/insults to themselves.

You replied 3 times after posting this...

To be honest, when I was about 11 up to about 15, I thought the modified car scene was good and couldn't understand how people could not like it. Then I found a little thing called maturity and realised, but it isn't really that good. Modifying can be good, for example upgrading things so they work better etc. But adding a huge, cheap, plastic and ill-fitting body kit that you can scratch on speed humps and whatever is silly. I admit, I do still 'like' some modified cars, but only if they have had a decent amount spent on professional jobs, but that is in the region of £10,000 on a Corsa that is worth £2,000 and with all your addy shit, its now worth £3,000. I know its all done out of passion for modifying, but now I'm older and I actually own a car it would be scene as sacralidge to modify (in my eyes anyway) I tend to stay away from the whole scene.

Good luck though Sam, it isn't cheap. I had so many big plans and I am no where near what I had planned at your age. So, you better get yourself a really decent job.

As I said on a BMW forum (Go figure...) over a month ago (You guy are slooow :razz

Quote from me :Definitely looks the part! With the right amount of traction it would fly...

But I agree with most people here, with gay wheel drive and no help from Costin and Duckworth it just lacks what RS Fords from yesteryear had IMO. It may don the RS badge, but it's not a 'real' RS...'Rally Sport' with FWD? I think not.

Two Mexicans are stuck in the desert, wandering aimlessly and close to death. They are close to just lying down and waiting for the inevitable, when all of a sudden.......

"Hey Pepe, do you smell what I smell. Ees bacon I is sure of eet."

"Si, Luis eet smells like bacon to meee."

So, with renewed strength, they struggle up the next sand dune, and there, in the distance, is a tree loaded with bacon.

There's raw bacon, dripping with moisture, there's fried bacon, back bacon, double smoked bacon... every imaginable kind of cured pig meat.

"Pepe, Pepe, we is saved. "Eees a bacon tree."

"Luis, are you sure ees not a meerage? We ees in the Desert don't forget."

"Pepe when deed you ever hear of a meerage that smell like bacon... ees no meerage, ees a bacon tree".

And with that... Luis Races towards the tree. He gets to within 5 metres, Pepe following closely behind, when all of a sudden, a machine gun opens up,and Luis is cut down in his tracks. It is clear he is mortally wounded but, a true friend that he is, he manages to warn Pepe with his dying breath.

"Pepe... go back man,you was right ees not a bacon tree."

"Luis Luis mi amigo... what ees it?

"Pepe... ees not a bacon tree...

Dan - Whats the name of the chocolate? Because, I'm not sure if you saw it but there was a program on the tele about a guy trying to make 100* Cocoa chocolate called Willies Wonky Chocolate Factory, and he was based about 2 minutes away from me, on an industrial estate that I used to work on.

Just wondered if it was the same stuff really.

I start a new job tomorrow

"Mobile Patrol Man" of a local business park. Which pretty much means I've got to patrol the area, acting as a deterrent to chavs. Boss just told me, to take my laptop or TV/DVD player and "make the job as comfortable as I can"

7am-7pm and 7pm-7am alternative weeks.

£7.50 per hour.

About time I out my size to good use To most people, that sounds like hell on earth, but I love it!

Ooooh Gotta love Mission speakers, my Uncle doesn't really like them, but they suit the NAD stuff really well.

How much are you planning on spending?
I'm running all NAD stuff, my speakers are Mission though. We are talking thousands of pounds worth of equipment. I swear by NAD and it is really the only thing I will use. When it comes to the DJ side of thing, I stick to Technics, so I have Technics separates in my bedroom and NAD separates with Mission speakers downstairs in the front room.

Mine is purple, and has a nice cover to keep it warm and clean. Can't post pictures as it breaks forum rules.

P.S...I am so sorry for the above comments, I really could not help myself. I'm such a child.
